There are only 4 to do for this block, so I'm not doing anything fancy like 2 or 4 at once or anything.

Great expression 'fudge room'. :-) Hazelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18191107549698019812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718656223712727253.post-56074983867695625402013-06-09T12:09:08.264+01:002013-06-09T12:09:08.264+01:00I agree about cutting to eighth lines on the ruler...I agree about cutting to eighth lines on the ruler - that's starting to get a bit fiddly, especially when you think about the width of the stitch line & the allowance for turning and pressing open.

Don't know what you mean about seams wandering ...! haha! I cannot be doing with eighths ...Ditto QuiltSue.

I cannot be doing with eighths and always cut the squares larger than needed and trim the block down to the required size once it is sewn. I'd cut the squares at 3"; before you think "oh dear, it is waste" it is NOT. It is saving you time, aggravation and you'll get a finished unit you can use first time :}

Ditto Vrooman - never underestimate the usefulness of fudge room*

* would that be a closet where all the sugary sweeties are stored??? Just asking .....
