Project 3 - Assembling

Just how much fun am I having with this?

It's like a jigsaw where all the pieces fit everywhere, and you get a different picture every time...

  1. That's what I love about sewing; putting the puzzle pieces together. That quilt top will be beautiful.

  2. It's going to look pretty whichever way you put it together. Taking a photo very often gives a better view of the colour distribution than looking with the naked eye.

  3. I was going to say the same as Ali and also, if you photograph each potential layout you have something to go back to.

Imagine the scene - you move everything around so much that you now have a mess which you hate, BUT you know that 7 or 8 versions ago you liked the arrangement ... BUT you can't quite remember which bit went where.

If you take photos as you go along life becomes a lot simpler.

Now, have we talked to you yet about a design wall?

  4. Thank you for your kind comments, girls!

Brilliant tip about taking photos as I play around with the layout - but it also shows how your eye really doesn't see what is in front of you!

My knees wish to talk to you about a design wall, Bilbo!
