Having been given a jelly roll and a quilting book for Christmas 2010, there is no excuse not to get on with quiltmaking.

Here's what happened next...

... and so to quilt....

Rosie's quilt is sandwiched....

.... and I have a lovely variegated quilting thread.

Just have to work out how to quilt it.

Best get a wiggle on - Rosie's baby is now very much with us, and I'd like to deliver the quilt to the new family next week.

  1. Just catching up once again and the quilt is looking lovely. Maybe just some easy straight line quilting so that it is quick to finish. As I have a long-arm, I'm not much help in the domestic quilting department anymore, as for me quick is just an all-over pattern. Look forward to seeing what you do. Take care.

    1. Thanks for dropping by, Susan.

I like straight line quilting - you know where you are with it! But I'm inclined to a fairly large all over meander pattern would be quicker (and more forgiving!).

It would be great to do some linked flowers as I have done before, but there are so many seams in the top, I don't think I'd be able to do a smooth enough job. Hmm.
