Good morning, good morning - and what a glorious blue-sky, bright, sharp, sunshiny autumn day it is!
I'm very glad that it is such a beautiful day, as I'm off in a mo to take part in a cross country race in a local nature reserve. Until we get warmed up, it's going to be cold; and despite today's lovely sunshine, recent heavy rain means that it's going to be wet underfoot.
Last weekend when I went out for a practise around the route I came back looking like this, so I'm really glad that I will be wearing my trail shoes which at least should keep me upright in the mud!
I'll be back by lunchtime, and as long as I don't actually come last, I'll be happy - and after a soak in the bath, I'll be ready to sew. In the meantime, make yourselves comfy and and have a choccy. Go on - you know you want to!
Have a good run. You must be mad. Why go out and do something like that when you could be in the warm, sewing?
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit nippy, but a glorious day to be out in the fresh air, Sue! Although I DID enjoy my very hot, up-to-the-chin bubble bath when I got home!
Deleteand you all have the nerve to say that some of the things * I * do are strange ...
ReplyDeleteOne of those activities that you don't remotely have any desire to do; but then once you have made the effort.you wonder why everybody doesn't do it as it's so great.
DeleteHave a good run and stay upright - oh, long soaky bath sounds good.
ReplyDeleteMy investment in trail shoes paid off in helping me keep my footing, Sharon - those who were in trainers were all over the shop!
DeleteEnjoy the run. Just don't sink too far into the mud.
ReplyDeleteI was a great morning, Joanna - although the mud was deep in parts, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to move in the morning, despite a hot soak in the bath!
