Having been given a jelly roll and a quilting book for Christmas 2010, there is no excuse not to get on with quiltmaking.

Here's what happened next...

Christmas Quiltalong! April, pt2

Now we're in business! Cathi has sent me this month's star pattern instruction sheet - it looks reasonably straightforward (famous last words!), so I'm about to get cutting.

The plan is (more famous last words!) to get these two stars cut and pieced, and I also hope to start on the border for the Spring Garden Trellis quilt (my project 3)...

  1. I like your plan. I need to get myself going now instead of peaking in on everyone else's sewing:) I look forward to seeing your progress.

  2. I finished last month's star and as soon as I get the pattern I'll be doing today's star. Not sure what else I'll be doing although I might work on a quilt that is going to be a Christmas gift. Can't wait to see what you get done.

  3. I'm looking forward to seeing your stars as they look so different to mine.

You really should learn though from friends, that the word "plan" is always an invitation to diversions!

  5. My plan turned out to be over-ambitious, Joanna! So no, I couldn't, Cathi! But best to be cautious than quilt whilst tired and make a mess of things, I think.

I had a great day, Karen, thank you - your applique is wonderful!

I love the contrast on your stars, SQ. It's fascinating seeing all the different takes on this, Sue, isn't it? (oh, and I don't find 'Plan' a four letter work, unlike a mutual friend! {gg})
