And on that note of stating the astoundingly obvious, I've stopped for the evening - I'm off to the pub for a couple of beers.
Catch up with you all tomorrow - and thank you without measure to Lesley, the Cuddle Quilter for being a fabulous hostess (even if she did scoff all the cinnamon buns herself), and to QuiltSue for clear instructions for the brilliant Festive Mystery quilt.
You've made great progress Hazel. Have a beer for me tonight at the pub! We are headed to Snowshow Brewery for dinner and beer tonight too! I'm afraid sometimes my quilting drives me to drink!
ReplyDeleteWow - love the Snowshow brewery website and trust you had a fiiiiiiine evening. :-)
DeleteI love your parade of hourglasses! Sorry I ate all the cinnamon buns..wish I could head out with you and Lynn! Hope you both have fun in your corners of the world! And thank you for the thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou've been brill, Lesley - and I don't (much!) hold it against you for the cinnamon buns...
DeleteIsn't this just the best fun running round the world!
I haven't got around to starting Sue's mystery yet as I'm finishing up an older Christmas mystery quilt - but I'm loving what I'm seeing on everyone's posts. The 1/4 square triangle blocks are a bit of a bear to make but don't they look lovely! Hope you enjoyed your beer...
ReplyDeleteYou have loads on your plate at the mo, Janet, I can see, but I hope you get to catch up with this QAL when you have time!
DeleteYour Mystery quilt is coming along wonderfully :) Hope it was a good night at the pub! :)
ReplyDeleteSlow going, I'm afraid, Trudi, in trying to get the points to match - and yes, thank you, it was!
DeleteWell don't they just look lovely all lined up like that?
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the beer?
Like pretty maids all in a row! Beer was Holden's Golden Glow - a Midlands brew just to my taste!
DeleteSo pretty. Your quarter square triangle look great.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the pub!
Thank you, Donna - and yes, the pub was good!
