Having been given a jelly roll and a quilting book for Christmas 2010, there is no excuse not to get on with quiltmaking.

Christmas Quiltalong May 2012 - pt 4

Funny how something can just 'click', isn't it?  After all that griping yesterday, it took just half an hour this evening to put the other ten rectangles together to my satisfaction for April's blocks - although I do still have to trim them up.

So then I will be ready for the May installment.  Can we have the Quiltalong day all over again for next Saturday, please?

PS Just to show Donna that Ms Cha Cha is not the only naughty kitty cat in the 'hood who plays with fabric...

  1. Those patches are passing the kitty krinkle test for sure. The strips looks great patched together like that. You may have designed a new quilt.

    1. Hmm - I guess you are right. 'Approval' also means napping in the scraps crate putting black cat hair everywhere!

  4. They look great. It's funny, isn't it, how something can suddenly just click and you can't think why you were finding it so tricky before.

    1. This is why I shouldn't be stubborn and carry on when the best thing to do is leave it a while and come back fresh!

  5. Oh, much applause to Domino who really has got 'quilt appreciation' down to a fine art.

It takes skill to wrap blocks around a paw like that - not every kitty can do it, y'know!!

    1. Well, like Oli, he certainly has 'being right in the way' down to a fine art - reading newspapers is always tricky too, with a cat sat in the middle.

  6. Oh dear, naughty kitty, I don't know why quilt and quilt blocks on the floor are so irresistible to them, but it happens without fail :o). I'm liking your blocks.
