Auditioning Borders

Now I've pieced the butterflies baby mat, I can't resist trying out a few inner border choices.

Yellow for one and green for the other?  Or beige and yellow?  Or yellow and green?

Hmm hmm hmm.

  1. Oh that's a tricky one. I would definitely use the yellow, and probably the green, or the beige? How about you cut random lengths of each, sew them together and cut them for the borders? That way you don't need to make a decision!

    1. I forgot to mention that I have a stripy border to piece and use too (pics on next post) - but I've decided that the green is too dark...

  2. How about a tiny border of the yellow to close off your pieced blocks then the nice border of the cream and bind with the green?
