Honestly, I could have sworn that he was asleep two floors away!
I sneaked up to the attic room intending to have a play with the layout of the mystery quilt, but as soon as I turned round to get the camera out, there Domino was, daring me to move those lovely flippy-flappy blocks around for him to grab at...
the layout looks great cat and all!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mrs P! Still want to play with the blocks further before I make my mind up.
DeleteYou canNOT outsmart a cat!
ReplyDeleteToo true!
DeleteLOL, seems like he has something to say about the layout, though I don't listen to my cats much, except when it comes to "pet me", "hold me", "feed me", "clean my litter box", "clean the water bowl", "give me a treat", "take me outside". Gee I have demanding cats don't I?
ReplyDeleteThen mine are demanding too - and you've missed out 'play with me' and 'stop ignoring me'!
DeleteYour blocks look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lesley!
DeleteI think Domino thinks you are making this quilt for him:) He seems to be laying claim to it.
ReplyDeleteWell, he will be disappointed, then - but perhaps he is making a point that I haven't made a cat quilt for him that I promised to do last year.
DeleteThat looks fantastic. I hadn't realised you were making this quilt for Domino!
ReplyDeleteWhat he thinks is neither here nor there - except of course he will end up sleeping on it in due course, I am sure!
DeleteI had such a lovely comment written last night - and we had a bl**dy power cut before I could publish it! I seem to recall it went along the lines of:
ReplyDeleteand you're surprised because ...... ? If you think this is bad, you should have seen how thoroughly messed up a 30kg Bearded Collie can make a block layout. Now that was skill - he had a Masters and PhD in 'Obstructing The Quilter'.
Get yourself down to a builders' merchant and acquire an 8 x 4 sheet of Kingspan/Celotex. Make a fool of yourself in the car park cutting it into thirds to fit in your car (a kitchen devil breadknife works well). Cover with old cotton batting (hold in place with pins) and fix to wall of attic room. VoilĂ - vertical Design Wall which hopefully Domino will not see as an invitation to start climbing . . .
. . . but if he does, we want photos :}
Yes, comments don't have any sort of autosave, do they? How annoying!
DeleteIt's the inquisitive nature of pets, I think - the quizzical 'what you doin'?' as they blunder up and stick a wet nose in your mush.
I was quite taken with your design wall idea until you mentioned climbing cats, and the thought of the havoc that that would cause!
