Well the nine patch is certainly more straightforward and no-nonsense than all that cutting on the bias triangle whathaveyou. Actually, I do like these - they look crisp.
I'd wait to determine that until all the blocks are done. Then you can lay out which fabrics you have that there is enough yardage to use as sashing and see what if anything works.
I'm tempted to skip the sashing so as to make piecing the top quicker - I'm against the clock. But I might get a burst of enthusiasm and reconsider when I'm less tired tomorrow!
Nice work, young lady. I wouldn't put sashing between the blocks but the comment on previous post is just as applicable here.

DeleteI would go for cream sashing with a colourful cornerstone, but then I struggle with anything scrappy and am always looking to tone it down!
