Having been given a jelly roll and a quilting book for Christmas 2010, there is no excuse not to get on with quiltmaking.

Here's what happened next...

Christmas QAL - September pt3 - directions and decisions!

Needle, Thread, Happiness

Dolores has quite rightly pointed out that the QAL button doesn't point to this month's Mr Linky! D'oh!

I've fixed the button now, so to come to the party, sign up with Mr Linky either by clicking on the button, on the Christmas QAL tab at the top of the page, or by clicking here.

Dear me - some hostess I am - that's like sending out invites and the doorbell not working!!

Meanwhile, I think you've all given me some wise words on my sashing dilemma, so thank you for that, and I'm going to go with the yellow.

But before I do that, I'd better get baking - anyone up for some festive gingerbread men?

  1. Finally got the time to post and catchup with the QAL and yes I think the yellow looks lovely. Did you pick courgettes and raspberries yesterday, and I can't come and try your gingerbread. Too far.

    1. Lovely to see you, Sue - glad you could drop by. :-)

I picked courgettes, rasps and a few runner beans - surprisingly tender, even at this point in the season. Wonderful.

Hope you are enjoying the quilt show.

    1. The doorbell rule seems to be that invited guests do weedy doorbell presses which don't always 'ding', and delivery chaps clonk the door and bell with simultaneous vigour. Hey ho!

    2. At least that's "all" your delivery men do. Whilst all our regular delivery chaps are lovely and laugh at Daisy it's when we get a newbie who doesn't know the route that things get interesting.

A gate with two bolts and a 'private' sign has failed to keep unwanted two-legs out of the Cottage Garden, eventually I will blog about the new gate and HUGE sign we've had to resort to.
