Having been given a jelly roll and a quilting book for Christmas 2010, there is no excuse not to get on with quiltmaking.

Christmas Quiltalong! November, pt1

Although I have the whole Quiltalong day ahead to quilt Scatty Stars, I only the ability to concentrate for about an hour and a half at a time with my sewing, so my festive day ahead looks like this:

do the washing and then some quilting

do some baking and then some quilting

start a batch of quince wine and then some quilting

nip up the road to the shops and then some quilting

cook lasagne for tea and then some quilting

And although I have run out of sherry, am not keen on mince pies, I promise to wear this all day to get into the Christmas spirit.

  1. At the risk of repeating myself {grin}, you have the nerve to say that * I * do too much in one day!

Have a lovely quilting day, I'm off to a gardening thingy in Keswick!

  3. I have faith that you will accomplish everything on your to-do list. I would excuse you from wearing the hat all day, though.

  4. Making a list is half the job done, Bilbo! {g} Look forward to hearing about what you get up to in Keswick.

The hat is on as we speak, Sue!

However, I concede that the hat might not be on ALL day, Joanna - I'm off to the shops now, and I think I'll get some odd looks!

  6. Your right, Elizabeth - if I'd have crammed all that into one load I would have broken the machine, I think - a second batch tomorrow, when I hope it will be a better drying day.
